OWA / MetaBase Explorer 1.6 not installing
(too old to reply)

I am trying to rebuild the OWA Metabase, and my instructions are to install
the MetaBase Explorer, but when I download the Res Kit, it gets to the end
with an error "The wizard was interrupted before IIS Res Kit could be
installed".

I tried and tried. I also ended an orphan MSIEXEC and still no luck.

Are there any other editors that I can use for the KB 883380? I need to get
OWA working again. I was doing a weird thing with the frames where the icons
for the folder show up in the messages area, as well as no one can open a
reply box etc.

I can't help you with your install because it obviously got a failure on
install and could be for any reason.

You can download from my blog a copy of the IIS Metabase Explorer

http://blog.crowe.co.nz/attachments/metabaseexplorer.rar

You will need to UNRAR it -
http://www.win-rar.com/index.php?id=160&dl=wrar360.exe

I just tried it on an XP machine and it works fine - all dll's are there.
